How to Use This Site
This site belongs to you. We will endeavor to fill it with the richest content we can find, but it is our hope that the overwhelming majority of translations, commentary, ritual, and art will come from you.
Building a Haggadah
The easiest way to use this site is to build a haggadah for yourself and your family. To do so, you can select scripture, translation, commentary, songs/readings, rituals, and/or illustrations for any or all of the fifteen sections of the haggadah. Go to the "My Haggadah" tab to begin creating your own haggadah. To do this, you'll need to register, so that we can keep your haggadah as a work in progress for when you come back to the site. When you're finished, you can move your selections around as you like, and then click on "Print My Haggadah." We'll create an Adobe Acrobat file that you can print out on your own computer printer, or bring the file on disk to a friend or print shop.
Contribution Guidelines
This site divides the haggadah into each of its fifteen main sections. You are invited to contribute your own Translation, Commentary, Song, Reading, Ritual, or Art for any or all of them. If you have more than one idea for, say, a method of doing the ten plagues at a Passover Seder, then please contribute them both, individually, to the appropriate section of the haggadah.
You may use materials that you have found elsewhere, but you must be responsible not to violate anyone else's copyright. In general, ideas can't be copywritten, but someone's words, can.
To contribute to a specific section, go to that section and click on "Contribute." You will be ask to select the section of the haggadah to which you want to contribute, the kind of contribution you wish to make, and an affiliation for your selection — feel free to pick as many affiliations as you believe are appropriate, or create your own, or choose none.
The contribution section is not the section for comments, discussion, or jokes about the contributions of others. At the top of each page, you'll see links to discussion boards where this can take place.
